Solo Exhibition 2025
Exhibition Overview
Ari Fuller unveils a major solo exhibition that brings together over forty works — from monumental gilded paintings to delicate plique-à-jour enamel brooches. This body of work explores symbolic realism, where autobiographical fragments, mythic archetypes, and sacred-secular imagery merge into radiant compositions of gold, pattern, and awe.
At the heart of the exhibition are Fuller’s gilded panels, works that combine traditional techniques with a contemporary symbolic language. Through intricate sgraffito, dispersed mosaics of colour, and narrative forms that emerge from a “matrix of tones,” the paintings evoke forests of light, celestial architectures, and human figures caught between the intimate and the cosmic. Their presence is both artefact and revelation, shimmering with the sense that beauty itself can act as witness.
The jewellery — skeleton-winged brooches rendered in fine silver and enamel — extends this exploration into the miniature. Here, transparency and light create wearable constellations that echo the larger works, offering symbols of fragility, resilience, and transformation.
Together, the works form an immersive cosmology: a world where personal story becomes myth, and myth becomes a mirror. Rooted in gold yet reaching toward the infinite, this exhibition invites viewers into a space of awe, intimacy, and symbolic reflection.
